GETCHNAH is a multifaceted artist—rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, director, and audio engineer. As a first-generation child of Sri Lankan refugees and the foster care community, her mission is to provide inspiring representation while sharing her story to uplift others through her music. From the age of four, she knew she wanted to be a performing artist, captivating her family with her performances from a young age. She is celebrated for her dynamic, dance-filled live shows and her unique fusion of genres, including rap, EDM, and R&B, all infused with influences from South Asian music.

GETCHNAH has performed at iconic venues in Toronto, such as the Axis Theatre, Phoenix Concert Theatre, and TD Musichall. She notably opened for Grammy award winner KOFFEE at Toronto's MNFSTO and has been a featured performer at Pride Toronto since 2022. Today, she is an independent artist with six singles, an EP titled Gem-In-i, and is currently wrapping up her ten-track debut album, which is set to release in 2025.

GETCHNAH faced many adversities in her early life. She grew up in government housing projects for seven years and lost her parents and eldest sister at the age of nine. Determined not to let these challenges deter her, she turned her passion for music and performance into a driving force in her life. GETCHNAH’s family was her biggest inspiration, and now others including Prabhu Deva, Lady Gaga, Missy Elliott, Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Rihanna, CL, Aaliyah, and many others.
